To make a reservation, choose a studio and lesson date/time via our website or by phone. Since all zen place group studios can be used interchangeably, select a studio that offers trial lessons at a convenient time for you.
*Our studios are co-ed. Pre-paying allows you to skip payment on the day of your lesson for a smoother experience!

Can I have a tour?

Yes, you can!
We can show you around the studio facilities, and if you wish, answer your questions about lessons, fees, and more!
*Please note that some studios may be unattended during lessons, so we ask that you contact the studio in advance.

Do you offer trial lessons?

Yes, we do. On the trial lesson page, you can freely choose your preferred studio, lesson, and time. With the exception of some special lessons, almost all regular lessons are available for selection, but we recommend "Basic" or "Pre-Beginner" for first-timers. Please feel free to contact our general reception or each studio if you have any questions.

Where can I sign up for a trial lesson? When I click on the lesson schedule, it says "Please log in."

What should I bring for the trial lesson?

Just bring comfortable workout clothes (including a change of underwear for hot yoga*), water (1L or more for hot yoga*), and a face towel (to wipe sweat during the lesson). We go barefoot. Mats are always free. After booking a trial online, you will receive a separate email with information about what to bring. Hot yoga* studios offer a ¥250 towel set (2 bath towels and 1 face towel) and ¥100 for 540ml of water.
*Excluding Nishi-Kasai Studio.

What type of clothes are considered easy to move in?

Yoga or Pilates wear that shows your body line is recommended, but if you don't have any, please bring a stretchy T-shirt and bottoms. For bottoms, we recommend something that is easy to move in, such as leggings, even when bending and stretching. All classes are barefoot. For hot yoga classes, you will sweat, so short sleeves, sleeveless tank tops, or camisoles are recommended.
For regular temperature yoga, it may feel a little cold until your body warms up in the winter, so please bring a hoodie or long-sleeved shirt as needed.

How to Pay for Your Trial Lesson

You can choose between pre-payment and payment at the studio on the day of your trial lesson.


● Re-payment
Pre-payment of the trial fee is finalized when you attend the lesson on the day, or when a "cancellation charge" occurs.
*A "cancellation charge" will be incurred for cancellations or no-shows for private lessons and reformer group lessons within 24 hours of the lesson start time.


You can complete the pre-payment process up to 20 minutes before your trial lesson, even outside of the initial application. Please check your trial application completion email for details.

How long does the trial lesson take on the day?

Including the pre-lesson explanation and post-lesson guidance, it will take approximately 2 hours. Please arrive with plenty of time.

How many minutes before the lesson should I arrive at the studio on the day?

For 90-minute zen place hot yoga lessons, to consider the burden on our customers' bodies, we ask that you check in 30 minutes before the lesson starts. If you do not arrive 30 minutes before the start time, your reservation will be automatically canceled, and you will not be able to participate in the lesson. Please note that we cannot allow entry with an elevated heart rate or shorten the pre-participation orientation.

Is it okay if I'm a complete beginner, have stiff muscles, and am not good at exercise?

zen place lessons are open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or exercise experience. Even classes without a beginner's mark, while more intense, can be enjoyed by anyone.
We also welcome those who wish to observe only (no reservation required). Please come directly to the studio. If you have concerns about exercising, such as during pregnancy, or have other questions, please feel free to contact each studio or our general reception.
